Price Paint manufacturers limit warranties to the replacement of product only and not labour. Price Paint does not provide guarantees; the life expectancy of Price Paint products is based on the coverage as per the technical data sheet. Lower micron applications will severely affect weathering and fading.
The application process on the can serves as a guide only. The explanations are generic — it is imperative that you read the technical data sheet (TDS) thoroughly prior to utilization of the product. Intended for qualified professionals only. Whilst every effort is made to make certain that the technical information provided is accurate and correct, errors beyond our control may occur.
Important Information
- Please note that a third coat may be required — one drop coat followed by two coats.
- In the case of applying a sheen product, a base coat is highly recommended for good coverage.
- When coating over raw cement, ceilings and dry walling, first apply Price Paint Transparent Sealer followed by Price Paint Flexible Plaster Primer. If this process is not followed, this could result in poor adhesion and possible peeling or flaking.
- Do not overcoat Price Paint Crack Filler or any type of Poly Filler/filler without first sealing with Price Paint Transparent Sealer — failure to do so will result in dull/light patching over repaired areas.
- Please check colour prior to use — a patch test is highly recommended. Colour variances will occur between batches. Always ensure edge-to-edge painting to prevent this. Measure correctly to ensure enough product is purchased from one batch.
- Price Paint must be utilized as a complete system — do not mix Price Paint products with any other brands.
- Do not attempt washing of the painted surface prior to the full drying time of 30 days, as streaking will occur.
- A mixture of water and a light detergent should be used when washing coated areas after painting; no harsh chemicals should be used.
- If the product is not overcoated with a 50% overlap with roller/brush, this will create an uneven continuity of the pigment (colour).
- It is very important to continually mix the product during the application process — failure to do so may cause patching and colour variance.
- In the case of rubber-based products, it is advisable to store in a cool area. Occasionally stir the product during storage time. It is preferable to paint shortly after purchase.
- Please ensure that you wash all Price Paint painting equipment thoroughly with warm soapy water and allow to dry prior to use.
- All surfaces/substrates need to be thoroughly cleaned and prepped prior to use. Walls must be cleaned prior to painting by means of sugar soap.
- Water-based products may not be applied at temperatures of 5°C or lower — this will result in freezing and potential cracking and peeling.
- In cold conditions (below 15°C), allow up to 24 hours drying time between coats; sooner than this will severely impact coverage.
- Please ensure that the paint dries and cures between each subsequent coat. This may take up to 24 hours or longer depending on the weather conditions.
- Life expectancy of Price Paint products is based on the coverage as per the Technical Data Sheets. Lower micron applications will severely affect weathering and fading.
- Do not thin Price Paint products.
- Do not paint Acrylic/PVA over a solvent-based surface without scuffing the area and using a universal undercoat. (Tip: dip a cotton ball into acetone and rub on the area to be painted — if the paint transfers onto the cotton ball, it is a water-based product.)
- Do not use thinners/turps in Price Paint water-based products.
Most paints and protective coating products are available in reusable 1 litre, 5 litre and 20 litre plastic containers.

How to Calculate Paint Needed
